The Greater Cleveland Educational Development Center (GCEDC) is a consortium of area school districts, educational agencies and the Cleveland State University College of Education and Human Services brought together to exchange ideas, discuss common concerns, and consolidate resources. This partnership strives to serve the needs of all members in the area of professional development.

The GCEDC:

  • is a collegial network of liasions from quality school districts.
  • responds to the needs of its school districts.
  • serves as a clearinghouse of information and facilitates the exchange of ideas among school district and other educational institutions.
  • has a "full-time focus" on professional development.
  • presents quality programming with nationally and locally recognized consultants.
  • maintains established strands of professional development while addressing current and emerging issues.
  • is a cost-effective structure for teachers and administrators to access professional development resources.
  • networks local professional development resources.
  • offers effective practice seminars and topical networks.
