Galileo Players performance
Welcome to the Galileo Players Performance in Cleveland
On Saturday, October 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Cleveland State University, the Galileo Players will perform for the first time in the Cleveland area. The Galileo Players are a Chicago-based, science improvisation group of actors, who have been praised for their lively, engaging and humorous stage presentations of science-related material. This free performance will be geared for high school and college students. Parents and members of area technical societies and their guests are also most welcome.
The appearance of the Galileo Players in Cleveland is sponsored by the Cleveland section of the American Chemical Society in cooperation with the Cleveland section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and Cleveland State University. Other sponsors include the Northeast Ohio Section of the ACS and the Society of Applied Spectroscopy.
The local ACS sponsor of the appearance of the Galileo Players at the University of Michigan last fall called their performance “a must-see event. “ Other praise for the Galileo Players includes:
“This is sharply funny comedy with intellect.” – DigitalCity.com
“the troupe approached its heady material with a scientist’s mind and a surgeon’s hands, offering a delicate intellectual alternative to the brain-dead sketch comedy that’s become commonplace” – Chicago Reader
“deliciously and provocatively funny” – Roosevelt University Torch
“the show itself was wonderful. From start to finish, I found their approach to be very professional and I enjoyed working with them. I am happy to recommend them.” – Northwestern University Institute for Neuroscience.
We are very pleased that the Galileo Players have accepted our invitation to perform in Cleveland. Full information about the Galileo Players is available on the web at http://www.galileoplayers.com.
