Previously was employed as Executive Director of the Help Foundation Inc., for 35 years. Help is a not for profit Cleveland social service agency, which provides residential, rehabilitation and special education services to children and adults with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities in north-east Ohio.
Continues to serve on a number of community policy committees, including welfare reform, services to people with disabilities, advocacy for civil rights, as well as state planning for human services.
Social work practitioner experience in the areas of public welfare, child guidance, mental health services, suicide hot lines, housing development, fund raising, grant writing, health care, supervision, administration, advocacy for civil rights of people with disabilities. Born and educated in Canada, now a citizen of the USA, married, with several hobbies which include collecting books and art, golf, and creation of linoleum block prints.
