Dr. Willa M. Hemmons

Dr. Hemmons received her Ph.D. from Case-Western Reserve and her J.D. from the University of Illinois. She was a full professor in the Department of Social Work. Professor Hemmons taught Criminal Justice courses required for the Criminal Justice Certificate or the Criminology) minor.

Upon her retirement from full time work, she was awarded Emeritus status by the CSU Board of Trustees. Still teaching and writing, her latest book is entitled Domestic Violence Solutions Among Black Male-Female Couples published in 2002. Dr. Hemmons is a licensed social worker as well as attorney.
