What's New

New Master of Arts Program Starting Fall 2009! - Master of Arts in Global Interactions (MAGI)

A new degree designed to prepare professionals to respond to Ohio's changing economy. As a major center for international interactions - in trade, finance, investment, politics and non-governmental organizations - as well as a key center for international security due to its Great Lakes location, the state needs an increasing number of people trained in skills for these jobs. As a professional, interdisciplinary degree, the MAGI is ideal for two groups: "mid-career" professionals who seek to upgrade their skills and baccalaureate students in social sciences and business who seek employment in professions with global linkages. The MAGI provides both groups with a thorough grounding in the disciplines, skills and approaches necessary for the complex nature of global studies. For more information, please contact the Political Science Department at 216-687-4554 or email Virginia Varaljay at v.varaljay@csuohio.edu.

Middle Eastern Studies Minor (Interdisciplinary Minor)

This baccalaureate minor provides courses that students can apply toward both the minor and several different majors (Classical and Medieval Studies, English, History, International Relations, Political Science, and Religious Studies). Students should contact an adviser in one of the participating departments: Modern Languages, History, Political Science, or Religious Studies.
