Alan Purdum teaches music in grades K-5 at Grand Valley Schools in Ashtabula County, Ohio and recently retired as Minister of Music for Howland Community Church in Warren, Ohio.  He has served on the National Board of Trustees of American Orff-Schulwerk Association.  At Cleveland State he is Instructor of Record for those taking the Greater Cleveland Chapter AOSA workshops for graduate credit. He is  also a past instructor of Orff Schulwerk teacher-training courses at CSU.  Mr. Purdum is a freelance bagpiper and plays doublebass in the Greenville (PA) Symphony Orchestra.  He is a member of the Rosewood Consort, a semi-professional early-music ensemble.
