Stephen Kabat graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in the history of art and earned his M.A. in music from Cleveland State. A member of the music department staff since 1990, he maintains the department's 80 acoustic keyboards and oversees the maintenance of our inventory of band, orchestral and Early Music instruments. He built the department's Hubbard/Stein fortepiano and, with Hugh Whitehouse, our Zuckermann IX Flemish harpsichord.

Mr. Kabat has been a piano technician since 1976 and is a craftsman member of the Piano Technician's Guild.
