Molly Fung-Dumm, Applied Facutly, Violin, concertized extensively throughout the United States and abroad as a founding member of the Samaris Piano Trio and the Zannetti Trio. A finalist in the Naumburg International Chamber Music Competition and winner of the Irving Klein International String Competition, Ms. Fung-Dumm’s solo appearances have included collaborations with the Rochester Chamber and Philharmonic Orchestras, the Peninsula Symphony, and The Cleveland Orchestra. She was a frequent guest artist on chamber music series across the Midwest with Ars Poetica, the Orion Ensemble and the Myriad Ensemble, and is an active participant on the Rainbow Series at Severance Hall. Her performances have been broadcast over NPR, WFMT, WCLV and Hong Kong Radio and Television, and she can be heard on the Newport Classics label with piano trios by Kirchner, Copland, Baker, and Schoenfield. Ms. Fung-Dumm was a member of ProMusica, the Ohio Chamber Orchestra, and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and she is the associate concertmaster of Cleveland’s Blue Water Chamber Orchestra. On the faculty at Cleveland State University since 1996, she teaches in the summer at the Csehy Summer School of Music at Houghton College and at the Credo chamber music program on the campus of Oberlin College. Ms. Fung-Dumm studied at the Eastman School of Music where she was awarded the Performer’s Certificate under the tutelage of Sylvia Rosenberg and Donald Weilerstein.
