David Yost has been involved in professional audio, recording and electronic music for over thirty years. He has been with the Cleveland State University music department since 1999 and is responsible for all departmental recording and archiving, as well as live sound events.
As recording engineer for the world renown Cleveland Chamber Symphony, he has engineered over thirty professional classical recording sessions, nine CD releases and over forty concert recordings, including the 2007 Grammy Award winning 'Oiseaux Exotiques' by Olivier Messiaen. In addition, David currently owns and operates a CD mastering and classical recording business, Masterpiece Mastering Suite. David has mastered over four hundred CD releases and engineered numerous live recordings.
Mr. Yost holds an FCC amateur radio Extra Class license and is a member of the Audio Engineering Society, the Cuyahoga Amateur Radio Society, and the American Radio Relay League.
