... About Japan:

AN INTRODUCTION TO THE WEB SITE

Welcome to this hypertexted narrative introduction to selected aspects of Japanese civilization and culture.

This set of inter-related Web pages is intended to provide students, teachers and other interested visitors easy access to the growing number of Internet sites dealing in one way or another with Japan.

The choices represented here are my own and are accompanied by comments based on over thirty years of experience teaching -- and learning -- about Japan. The links included have been chosen particularly in hopes of provoking interests in a wide variety of elements drawn from both traditional and contemporary aspects of life in Japan today.

Enjoy your trip as you explore cyberspace in search of the Real Japan! When you have finished browsing, you can submit comments on these pages on a specific evaluation form designed just for that purpose. I look forward to hearing from you.
