Student Creative Writing Contest

Winners receive formal notification of their awards in a letter from the Financial Aid Office, and should be aware that the prize takes the form of tuition remission for Spring semester. Winners whose tuition is already covered by scholarships, fellowships, assistantships, or staff benefits receive kudos but not cash. Winners who have already paid Spring tuition are reimbursed.

Winning entries are forwarded to Whiskey Island Magazine to be considered for publication; other mss. can be reclaimed from the Poetry Center office, RT 1841. Entrants who would like an individual critique of their manuscripts should seek out one of the judges.

Student winners will be invited to read their work on April 20 at 7:30, Fenn Tower 102. Many thanks to all students who sent in their work. The contest was judged this year by Professors Nuala Archer and Imad Rahman. The contest will be offered again during spring semester, 2010.
