A degree in English can lead to a rewarding and fulfilling career — the only limits are your imagination.

As an English major at Cleveland State, you will benefit from small classes taught by outstanding faculty, many of whom may become your mentors as you work through the program. The program may be completed on a part time basis—days, evenings, and weekends.

Student organizations include: Whiskey Island (creative writing magazine), The Cauldron, Vindicator (newspapers), and the Split Lark Reading Series (hosted by NEOMFA students). Additionally, the Poetry Center holds workshops as well as readings by students, Cleveland area writers, and distinguished visiting writers.
