
Brian McIntyre is responsible for gathering, producing and reporting the significant stories that affect the people and communities of Northeast Ohio for the Ohio News Network. In his years at ONN, he has covered the fall and rebirth of the steel industry in Cleveland, the Jim Traficant trial, the City of Cleveland's recent fiscal crisis and he continuously reports on issues facing Cleveland Municipal and other school districts in the northeast portion of the state.
A native of Cleveland, Brian has more than 11 years of television news experience. He began his television career as a news desk assistant/weekend assignment editor for WEWS-TV and eventually became a segment producer for The Morning Exchange, the long-running talk show of WEWS-TV.
Brians first on-air position as a reporter was at WNWO-TV in Toledo. He went on to become a reporter for WBNS-TV in Columbus and then returned to WEWS-TV as a consumer affairs reporter. He later joined the team of Good Morning Cleveland as a live reporter.
He is a graduate of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. He spoke to our Communication interviewer in 1998.
