Professional Experience & Community Activities
Susan E. Kogler Hill is Professor of Communication in the
Communication Management Division. She has been teaching at
CSU since 1976.
At CSU, she teaches interpersonal and organizational communication where she focuses on teamwork, leadership and mentoring. Dr. Hill is currently part of a Virtual Team project that researches successful communication strategies of global organizational teams.
She has published in a variety of journals including: Review of Business and Western Journal of Communication. Her book Improving Interpersonal Competence is regularly used in undergraduate classes.
She was Chair of the Communication Department from 1995-2003. In 2004, Dr. Hill received the CSU Distinguished Faculty Award for Service.
Education
Dr. Hill received her PhD in communications from the University
of Denver and a master’s and bachelor’s in Communication
from Bowling Green State University.
When she’s not teaching, Dr. Hill finds time to travel,
read, and practice fitness.
