Jill Rudd, Associate Professor and past Graduate Director in the Communication Management Division, has taught at Cleveland State University since 1989.

Dr. Rudd helped form and advises a communication graduate student organization that participates in regional communication conventions. She was also part of the faculty development program in International Business Negotiations at Duke University in 2003.

Her area of focus is dispute resolution and is currently working on a study called Aggression with Strangers, which researches violence and verbal communication among prisoners. “The type of communication you use at home can indicate the likelihood of your aggressive behavior,” she says.

She completing her book, International Business Negotiation: A Communicator’s Perspective.

Education

Dr. Rudd earned her Ph.D. from Kent State University.


She is from Shelby, Ohio, and enjoys reading, skiing and cooking.
