False Alarm

Librarians contacted authorities to respond to a fire alarm in the Michael Schwartz Library on the first floor of the Rhodes Tower building Sept. 10. After examination, authorities determined students used the wrong door while exiting the library, resulting in the alarm. Similarly, a burglary alarm sounded on Sept. 10 in the Cleveland-Marshall Law building. After authorities investigated, they concluded a student accidently set off the alarm.

Suspiciously Sleeping

A Cleveland State custodian reported a “suspicious person” on the second floor of the Main Classroom building to authorities on Sept. 11. Upon further investigation, authorities identified the suspect as a Cleveland male, who was just trying to get some sleep. His record ran clean, and the police escorted him off campus.

Steals on Wheels

Officers responded to a stolen bicycle call on Sept. 9. A student locked his Outlook Mountain bike on the bike rack outside of Euclid Commons. Officers suspect the theif cut the bicycle lock and stole the bike around 1 p.m., when the student was in class. No witnesses have come forward to describe the bicycle thief. The student did not press charges and the suspect has not been caught. Call Cleveland State Campus Police if you have any information.
