Scholarship
awards for communication students

Scholarships are being offered junior or senior communication majors.
Students graduating in fall 2007 or later are eligible.
Candidates are selected based on academic excellence, their area of
study, and additional criteria if specified by the funding agency.
Available scholarships
The Max Axelrod Scholarship worth $500 will be awarded to a Journalism
and Promotional Communication student with a preferred Jewish background,
but open to all.
The W.O. and Naomi E. Walker Memorial Scholarships awards worth $1,000
are given to students in any communication major who show financial
need.
Physically disabled students in any communication major with financial
need are eligible for the Raymond Dorsey Scholarship of $700.
The Donald Marcus Scholarship award of $500 will be given to a Journalism
and Promotional Communication student with an emphasis on advertising.
Journalism and Promotional Communication Students are eligible for the
Jana Stone Scholarship of $300.
How to Apply
Students will have to submit a personal statement with their application
form, stating their career goals and professional plans.
Students may apply for more than one award.
Visit MU 233 for an application form. The deadline to apply is April
16.
