News Arts and Leisure Sports Highlights Perspectives At-a-Glance Campus Events Police Report |
The Department of Minority Affairs is hosting the 2005 Native American Heritage Celebration. There will be a presentation by CSU anthropology students, Native American dancers, a Native American exhibit and opening reception. Keynote speaker Paul Chaat Smith will also be doing a book signing. There will be fried bread, Indian tacos and Indian tea served in the University Center, along with a bead and quillwork demonstration and flute music.Most events will take place in the University Center.

The School of Music will present the Cleveland State Chamber Ensembles concert at 8 p.m. Nov. 16 in Drinko Recital Hall in the Music and Communication Building.
The Cleveland State Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Victor Liva, will perform Carl Nielsen’s Little Suite For Strings. The Graduate String Quartet and The Chamber Winds will also perform.– By Sylvan Feghali
Dramatic Arts Program Presents Lanford Wilson’s: ‘Fifth Of July’. Curtain times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. General admission is $10, admission for Cleveland State students, faculty and staff, and seniors is $5. The Cleveland State University radio station, WCSB, will host its annual open house on Nov. 18 from 3-8 p.m. and Nov. 20 from noon to 4 p.m. in Rhodes Tower Room 956. The open house is a social gathering and a chance for listeners to visit with and meet their favorite disc jockeys.
Donations will also be accepted to help pay station expenses.Food and drinks will be provided along with such prizes as T-shirts and mugs with WCSB logos and gift certificates from local businesses. - By Gregg Megliss
1st men’s home basketball game vs. Florida A&M-5:30 p.m. All Students, Faculty and Staff get in for free with valid CSU ID. Tickets will only be distributed on the day of the event. For men’s basketball games, students will be issued tickets for the student section.
