CSU's East, West Center plan open houses for October Scholarship dinner honors Cleveland State supporters
Flu shots are now available by appointment at Health & Wellness Services for faculty, staff and students for $14. The flu vaccine is especially recommended for those individuals who are over age 50 or who have a chronic illness. Anyone who is allergic to eggs, egg products, chicken protein or thimerosol should not take this vaccine. Call us at 687-3649 to schedule an appointment.
CSU's East, West Centers plan open houses for October Cleveland State’s East and West Center Campuses will be holding open houses later this month to showcase the extended campuses. West Center, in Westlake, will be open Oct. 19 from 5 until 7 p.m. Solon’s East Center will be open Oct. 25 from 5 until 7 p.m.
Scholarship dinner honors Cleveland State supporters Cleveland State University’s third annual Moses Cleaveland Black-Tie Scholarship Dinner will take place Friday, Nov. 5.
This year’s event will recognize donors who have made commitments of $100,000 or more to the Moses Cleaveland Scholarship Fund or other University initiatives during the past year. President Michael Schwartz will present the first President’s Medal to Delos M. (Toby) Cosgrove, M.D., new chief executive officer-designate and chairman of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation’s Board of Governors.
Oct. 19 groundbreaking planned for Euclid Corrdior Project The public is invited to the groundbreaking ceremony on Oct. 19 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Star Plaza, 1302 Euclid Ave. at Playhouse Square. It is being coordinated by the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA). The event includes a formal signing ceremony of the Full Funding Grant Agreement, a groundbreaking ceremony and speeches.
Cleveland State University’s College of Sciences will hold a College of Science Research Day to highlight the students and faculty who contribute to the continuous learning and discovery in college on Oct. 22. Keynote speaker Dr. Robert Eisenstein will discuss multidisciplinary approaches to understanding complex behavior in mathematical, physical, living and social systems. (Meghan McCarthy)
Cleveland State University Convocation Center will host the Council of Smaller Enterprises’, “Business After Hours…Oktoberfest” on Tuesday, Oct. 26 from 3 to 8 p.m. According to COSE representative Katie Turman, this event is a trade show that will have booths from hundreds of different businesses. The goal is to provide a networking medium for individuals and businesses to get their name out to other companies. She says the event will feature speaker John DiJulius from John Roberts Spas giving a presentation from 3 to 4 p.m. “Oktoberfest” is open to the public and costs $10 for COSE members, $15 for non-COSE members, or $25 for a group pass for up to five people. The price of admission gets you into the trade show and the presentation with DiJulius.

2004 Election Postmortem: The Media's Role in Politics The School of Communication and The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences are presenting a panel discussion titled “2004 Election Postmortem: The Media’s Role in Politics” on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Waetjen Auditorium.
