Keep valuables out of sight

“We’re getting hammered this year with car thefts. The Cleveland Police are seeing the same trend throughout downtown,” Lt. Nathan Cabot of the CSU Police says.

“We don’t know if it is transients or people coming down to campus, but we are taking mea-sures to catch the people.”

Cabot says that they are taking radios, CDs, change, books and anything else small in the car. “Once they are in the car, if they know what to do they can be in and out in 30 seconds,” Cabot says.

He reminds students, faculty and staff to not leave items out in the open because they are an easy target for theft.
