For those attending classes during the summer session, VikingCash is offering Bonus Days when you can purchase food in the Upper Deck Food Court with your VikingCard and receive discounts and special deals.  

These days are: June 10, July 7, and August 6, a free 22 oz. fountain drink with Subway purchase; June 18, July 13, and August 10, $.50 off salad purchase; June 23 and July 19, buy one piece of pizza, get the second one free; July 1 and July 28, free waffle fries with Chick-fil-A sandwich or nuggets.

To add money to your VikingCard account use cash or credit cards at the Bursar’s office at UC 460 or the Card Management Center (CMC) located on the first floor of the library, or a check or credit card at the VikingCard Office at UC 272B.

Transfer Day planned for June 26

Cleveland State will host a “Transfer Day” program for people interested in transferring or resuming college in University Center on Saturday, June 26 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Transfer Day focuses on students who have already started their degrees and want to either transfer to Cleveland State from a different college or resume completion of a degree that has been put on hold.

Representatives from many departments will be on hand to offer advice and information regarding transferring to CSU.

Students will have also be able to find out what credits will be accepted before they apply if they bring their official transcripts in a sealed envelope from their college.

CSU 'Urban Folks on Spokes' to participate in 'Pedal to Point'

A team of Cleveland State University faculty, staff, and students, called Urban Folks on Spokes, is gathering to participate in this s summer’s Multiple Sclerosis Society’s MS 150 Bike Ride, also known as “Pedal to the Point.”

This two-day bike ride from Berea to Sandusky and back will take place the weekend of Aug. 21 and 22. Riders can choose to participate two days (150 or 175 miles) or one day (30, 75, or 100 miles). It is not a race and all skill levels of riders are welcome.

Those who do not want to ride can get involved by registering to help support the riders as a volunteer or by making a donation. All funds raised go to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Alumni art exhibition featured at The EDGE Gallery through June

The Cleveland State University Alumni Association and The EDGE Art Gallery present “The Second Annual Juried CSU Alumni Art Exhibition” throughout June.

The exhibition features paintings, photography, drawings, sculptures and mixed media from accomplished CSU alumni artists in Northeast Ohio.

The exhibit is on display until June 30 at The EDGE Art Gallery, 1844 Euclid Ave. The gallery hours are Monday-Thursday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and by appointment.

Parking fee increase for fall

A rate increase for student parking goes into effect July 1. The prepaid decal cost has been increased from $110 to $113. The cost of $3 per day for parking remains the same.

Information sessions for East Center

Cleveland State University will host two information sessions for the public about the new East Center on Thursday, June 17, and Tuesday, June 29 from 5 to 7 p.m.
