Adult Education Conference scheduled for Nov. 19 Career Services Center sponsors career fair University Library honors Fulbright Scholars
Adult Education Conference schduled for Nov. 19 Dr. Catherine Hansman, associate professor and program director of adult learning and development at Cleveland State, recommended that students attend because of the proximity of the conference and to experience the national and international gathering of professionals in the adult education field. The conference is a four-day seminar consisting of concurrent sessions, roundtables, and panel discussions. Keynote speakers include Laurent Daloz, associate director of the Whidbey Institute in Clinton, Wash., and John Dirkx, associate professor at Michigan State University. (Ayana Roberts) Career Services Center sponsors career fair The Cleveland State University Career Services Center is sponsoring the Midwest Regional Fall Career Fair on Friday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Woodling Gym. The fair will offer students, recent graduates and professionals the opportunity to meet with local, regional and national employers representing a variety of fields. Admission to the fair is free, and all majors and professions are welcome. Attendees should bring their resumes and dress in business attire. University Library honors Fulbright scholars The friends of the Cleveland State University Library will host its 15th annual Scholars and Artists Reception honoring faculty, staff and emeriti creativity. The event will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the special collections room on the third floor of the library. The Friends will be honoring Cleveland State University Fulbright Scholars. To reserve a seat, or for more information, please call (216) 875-9734. Cleveland State basketball tickets on sale now Tickets for the upcoming CSU basketball season went on sale this past Monday, Nov. 3 at the Convocation Center box office and through all Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets for the 2003- 2004 season are reasonably priced at $12 for seats between the baselines, $10 for seats in the corner and $8 for endzone seats. Bread company CEO to speak at next HR lecture on Dec. 11 Michael Ferretti, CEO of the Great Harvest Bread Co., will be speaking at HR Challenges in the 21st Century lecture on Dec. 11 at the Nance College of Business Administration. The program will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Dively Auditorium. There will be no admission charge. A reservation is required to attend the lecture.
