International Day planners meet

International Day, when students and faculty will get a chance to enjoy dancing, singing and a variety of international flavors from all over the world, is coming to the Cleveland State University UC Cage on Nov. 19.

A planning meeting is scheduled for Oct. 3, in UC 361 from noon to1 p.m.

The International Services and Programs Committee is headed by graduate student Habibe Erkin.

Students will get a chance to ask questions about the set up of the program, as well as meet the participating students and staff. Students from Russia, China, South America, Japan and other countries will have a chance to present a piece of their culture.

Music and dancing associated with a particular culture, and specific artifacts representing a part of the student’s traditions and costumes will be on display.

Usually about 800 students participate in this program, from about 50 different countries. (Marina Kolmanovich)
