Women's art exhibit opens Feb. 17 Case prof. to speak Feb. 17 on children's rights
President Emeritus of Cleveland State University John A. Flower will hold a discussion on his book “Downstairs, Upstairs: The Changed Spirit & Face of College Life in America” on Feb. 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. The discussion will take place at the CSU library on the third floor. Women's art exhibit opens Feb. 17 The CSU Women’s Art Invitational, “Works by or About Women.” will be held Feb. 17 through March 6 at the Art Gallery on Chester Avenue. Participants are limited to three pieces. Drop work off at the Art Gallery at 2307 Chester Ave.
Case prof. to speak Feb. 17 on children's rights CSU Sociology Department Brown Bag Speaker series presents Dr. Brian Gran of Case Western Reserve University. He will be speaking on ”Children’s rights and the pubic-private Dichotomy: the powers of the children’s Ombudsperson.” This will take place on Feb. 17 from noon -1 p.m. in Rhodes Tower 1716.
February features free music events The CSU Music Department will present the following free events during February: the Sundown Jazz concert in Drinko Recital Hall at 4 p.m. on Feb 15; the Kaleidoscope Concert at 3 p.m. on Feb 22 in Waetjen Auditorium; the Horn Ensemble Concert in Drinko Hall at 3 p.m. on Feb 29. Nominations for the 2004 Distinguished Black Faculty and Staff Awards must be received by Friday, Feb. 20 in the Office of Academic Affairs, Rhodes Tower, room 1209. Submit all nominations to the attention of Laurine Owens.
