Buy a $5 ticket of 1,000 being sold for the Cleveland State University softball lottery, and get 27 chances to win cash. Each Monday through Saturday in January a number will be drawn. Ticket-buyers have the chance to win $50 each weekday and $100 each Saturday, and each ticket is eligible to win more than once. Proceeds from the lottery go towards the $30,000 needed to supplement softball’s scholarship, equipment and travel budget.
This flu season has been predicted to be one of the worst in the past few years. CSU students, faculty and staff can tell the flu good bye before it even arrives. CSU Health & Wellness Services will receive 300 free doses of the FluMist vaccine in the first week of December due to overproduction by Wyeth. There is a $2 administrative fee for receiving the vaccine. Those interested should note that FluMist is appropriate for people under the age of 50 that are healthy, non-asthmatic, and are not pregnant. Side effects from the vaccine may include a runny nose, sore throat, headache, muscle aches, irritabi-lity or cough.
Call (216) 687-3649 to schedule an appointment. Starving artists show opens Dec. 4 The Ceramics Department is holding a starving artist show Dec. 4, 5 and 6. It includes both decorative and functional pottery, along with ceramic sculpture, jewelry and tiles created by the art faculty and students.

Winterfest offers arts trolley tour Cleveland’s Winterfest is hosting an Urban Arts Trolley Tour on Friday, Dec. 5, from 6 to 10 p.m. Four Lolly the Trolleys will make loops from the CSU campus through downtown Cleveland. Riprograders can experience specialty merchants and over 40 art galleries as they ride down Euclid Avenue. Trolley stops include Playhouse Square, Cleveland Trust Rotunda, 530 ARTcade at the Colonial Marketplace, Tower City, the Warehouse District and Spaces Gallery.
