Campus Activities Board provides music The Campus Activities Board has scheduled Adreno Krome to perform on the University Center plaza on April 23 for Greek Week.
Additional bands are to perform at Panini’s on the ground floor of the UC on April 24 and 30. Awen is scheduled for April 24 and The Recent Village for April 30.
All shows will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Gospel Choir performs at Good Friday service The EDGE: Lutheran Campus Ministry, CSU’s Black Studies Program, and All Nations Christian Fellowship is sponsoring the fifth annual Good Friday Service, Friday, April 18, from noon to 1 p.m., in CSU University Center’s Kiva.
Performing at the service is CSU gospel choir, “Messengers of Joy.”

CSU Department of Student Life will have information tables set up in the University Center Cage, Monday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will include the games car smash and dunk tank in UC Cage Wednesday, April 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
PD Reporter scheduled to talk to CSU students Reporter Dave Davis from the Plain Dealer will speak Tuesday, April 22, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Music and Communications Building, room 208. The lecture is part of the freedom of information program sponsored by the CSU student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
Davis will discuss freedom of information topics such as public records, the freedom of information act, and issues regarding reporters covering stories during wartime.
CSU Orchestra, Chorus, and Chorale will have a concert Wednesday, April 23 at 8 p.m. in Waetjen Auditorium, in the Music and Communications Building. The conductor will be Besty Burleigh. Howard Meeker will be the conductor for the Chamber Winds, which will perform at the same event.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Young and emerging composers featured in concert Cleveland Chamber Symphony presents, “Young and emerging composers,” Thursday, April 24 at 11 a.m. at Drinko Recital Hall, in the Music and Communications building at CSU.

SGA helps students to practice peace The Student Government Association is sponsoring CSU Peace Day, Thursday, May 1, in the University Center’s Main Plaza. SGA is looking for student organizations that can dance, sing, cook, make speeches, or just want to be involved in the event.

A&S College will have meeting on new colleges The initial meetings of the two Arts & Sciences Reorganization Feasibility Committees have been scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, noon to 1 p.m. in RT 1905. The purpose of this meeting is to lay the groundwork for the initiation, and focus on the Reorganization Transition Committee that will take over for the Feasibility committee. Once the A &S reorganization is approved by the Board of Trustees, the membership of the Transition Committee will be identical to the Feasibility Committee.
The Transition Committee will wrestle with many issues in establishing the new Arts/Humanities/Social Sciences college, including possibilities for the name of the new college, governance (bylaws, committee structure, etc.), mission/vision/philosophy/goals, and subunits (First College, Women’s Studies, etc.).
NCCJ sponsors walk-a-thon at Rock Hall TThe National Conference for Community and Justice is sponsoring, “Walk as One”, which is their first annual walk-a-thon Saturday, May 3, 9 a.m. at the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame. Students from CSU are invited to walk to fight bias, bigotry, and racism. Participants can enjoy entertainment, refreshments, and free admission to the Rock Hall.
