Threats and arrests highlight report


Vandalism 1
Nine window screens on the west side of the Theater Arts Building were gouged or torn during the weekend of June 2 and 3. A report was filed on Monday, June 4, and it appears that the vandalism suspects did not intend entry.

Threats by phone
A faculty member reported receiving a threatening voicemail message on Tuesday, June 5, saying that the person would die at 2:30 p.m. the same day. An officer was assigned to the scene.

3-wheel bicycle missing
Building service personnel reported on Friday, June 8, that a three-wheel bicycle was missing from a locked storage facility in the basement of the Convocation Center.
When last seen the cycle reportedly had three flat tires.

Vandalism 2
A faculty member’s office window in the Art Building was reported to be broken. A student noticed the damage and notified the professor. There were no suspects and it appeared nothing was taken.

Student arrested
On Friday, June 8, Unit 35 was dispatched after surveillance cameras picked up a suspect acting erratically in UPF parking lot. The person was identified as a student that was previously involved damaging a parked vehicle with a tennis racket. The suspect was charged with criminal damaging and endangerment.

Hit and run
Three reports were filed on Monday, June 11, of damage to vehicles parked in S-3 lot. The three incidents occurred at different times and at different areas in the parking facility.
