Male arrested on DUI charges
A CSU police officer observed a 36-year-old male operating a vehicle
on the sidewalk and lawn of university property. The incident occurred
on the plaza between Stillwell Hall and the Physical Education building,
between Chester and Euclid avenues at E. 24th. He was arrested and charged
with driving while intoxicated, failure to control and resisting arrest.
Motor vehicle struck by bicyclist
A male riding a bicycle was speeding, lost control and ran into an
automobile that was exiting the parking lot onto Euclid at Viking Hall.
It happened on early morning Monday, May 7, at 1:10 a.m. and according
to a witness the bicyclist rolled over the hood of the car.
He later left his name and number with the driver of the vehicle and
did not wait for officers to arrive at the scene.
Faulty parking lot gate arm hits car
One complaint was made on April 24, about a gate arm coming down prematurely
and scrapping the top of the vehicle and the rear window, at the S-2 lot
on Chester.
Transport provided to ER
During a Bill Gather event at the Convocation Center on Saturday, April
27, three people were given ambulatory trans-portation for one case of
stroke, and two injuries sustained from falling down.
Viking Hall resident assaulted
A 20-year-old Viking Hall resident was assaulted by her 18-year-old
boyfriend early morning Monday, April 27. Her roommate called the police
at which time the assailant tried to flee the scene. Police arrested him
on one of the other floors of Viking Hall, and charged him with assault.
