Sondhi takes CSU seat By Kristina Martens Vir K. Sondhi, was appointed by Gov. Bob Taft to the Cleveland State University Board of Trustees. Sondhi, a resident of Shaker Heights, has been a member of the Cleveland State University Foundation Board of Directors for 13 years and has also been a member of the Visiting Committee for the College of Education. He retired last year as president, chief executive officer and principal owner of NASCO Industries, Inc. He also served as senior vice president, international division, for the Bank of America; senior vice president, worldwide operations, for the Bank of Montreal and Union Commerce (later Huntington) Bank; and president and chief executive officer at the Overseas Capital Corporation. He was appointed on June 20, 2000 and his term will end May 1, 2009.
He replaces Monte Abuja, whose term expired.
