News Student Life Sports Highlights At-a-Glance Campus Events Police Report |
President's Picnic attracts students, faculty, staffSemester kickoff week ended Friday Sept. 1, with the president’s
picnic. The picnic was held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food was made available
between 11a.m. and 1 p.m., and a raffle took place around noon. Refreshments
were a welcomed relief from the unusually hot day. Over 2,200 CSU students,
faculty, and staff enjoyed the food at the picnic. Everything from hamburgers
and hot dogs to pasta salad was served.CSU president, Claire Van
Ummersen, announced the winners of the raffle prizes. While the CSU Jazz
Ensemble, directed by Howie Smith, entertained the crowd.
