Stolen items top reported crimes


Mountain Bike Stolen
A CSU student had her bike stolen from Rhodes Tower plaza while she was in the library on Monday, Aug. 21. Her bike was secured to a metal railing with a combination lock and chain next to the Rhodes Tower East automatic door. Construction workers in the area were questioned but they didn’t see anything suspicious.

Typewriter Stolen
A computer typewriter was stolen from Rhodes Tower room 324, sometime between Friday, Aug. 18 and Monday, Aug. 21. The typewriter was left on a cart in the back of the office. The only way to gain access to the room is through the service elevator or with a key.

Pick-Pocket
On Monday Aug. 21, a Barnes and Noble employee had his wallet stolen while he was in line at the front register in the bookstore. The man went back to the store 20 minutes later when he realized his wallet was missing. He found it in the back of the store. He believes he was the victim of a pick-pocket. All his property was in the wallet when he found it, but his cash was gone.

Fire Extinguishers
A Fire & Safety employee reported that someone removed nine portable dry chemical extinguishers from the College of Business. The incident occurred some time between May 16 and June 15. The extinguishers were taken from the ground, first, second, and fifth floors.

CD Player Stolen
Unit 35 took a report on Aug. 26 from a CSU student regarding a CD faceplate that was stolen from his vehicle between 1:30 and 5:30 in the morning. The vehicle was parked in Z lot and there was no other damage to the car.

New Graffiti
On Sept. 3 unit 15 ob-served that there was new graffiti on the east wall of the University Hall Annex. There was also graffiti on the Physical Plant.
