Recruits commit to women's tennis

By Aaron Cutteridge

Cleveland State University women’s tennis program received letters of intent from two young women to attend Cleveland State and begin playing in the fall 2014 semester.

Jana Schober from Thaur, Austria won the doubles competition in the 2013 Tyrolean Championship and won the singles championship.

Schober is currently ranked No. 29 in Austria and was ranked No. 8 in the under-18 age group in Austria.

Aleksandra Golawska from Gdansk, Poland was born in Connecticut and moved to Poland later.

Golawska was ranked No. 5 on the international junior tennis circuit.

A top finisher in the National Junior Olympics in 2011 and a second place finish in doubles competition in the Gydnia Cup in 2011 display Golawska’s skill.

Both women are eligible to begin play in the fall and have four years of eligibility.
