Grand theft auto

On April 22nd at 5 p.m. Police responded to Lot 56 on Payne Avenue. Where a man reported his car stolen, he parked in the light at 9 a.m. and he returned to find his 98 Jeep grand Cherokee was gone.

Then on April 26th a man called police to report that his car which was parked on Prospect Avenue was stolen. The vehicle a 2000 red jeep grand Cherokee which was later found on E.145th Street with a broken window and the radio was missing. It is not known if the cases are related or not, no suspects or arrests have been made.

Play Time Is Over

On April 23rd at 2:06 p.m. Cleveland State Police responded to a fight in the recreation center.

2 males who had been playing basketball had a verbal altercation. When one man said something about the other mans wife, the man lunged at him punching him 2 times in the face. The victim is pressing charges of felonious assault on his attacker.

Do not pass go, do not collect $200…

On April 24th at around 9:21 p.m. officers noticed a man laying face flat in the asphalt in an alley near Peabody’s. They tried to wake him by shaking him and yelling loudly, after a few attempts they were successful at which point they noticed his eyes were blood shot red and his breath smelled like alcohol. They stood him up, but unable to walk he stumbled and almost fell face flat again. They placed him under arrest for public intoxication.

Hold the Phone

On April 25th at 2 p.m. a student was walking with her I-phone in hand. She was approached by a 6 foot black male who snatched her phone and took off running. Police replayed video footage which showed the male running off with her phone, but no suspects have been apprehended as of yet.

Girl Interrupted

On April 26h at 8:30 P.m. a girl returned to her dorm room to go about her regularly scheduled routine.
There were 3 girls and a male sitting in the common area waiting for her, when she walked to unlock her door the 3 girls attacked her. It is believed to be because the girl had contact with another girls boyfriend. The victim is pressing charges.
