Theft Reported

On Dec. 23 at 11:10 p.m., Euclid Commons staff observed a non-Cleveland State related male attempting to steal a computer. The dorm staff confronted the suspect causing him to flee the scene. An officer responding to the scene encountered the suspect near Chester Avenue and watched him flee into the Allerton Apartments. The officer questioned the Allerton front desk attendant and obtained the suspect’s name and place of residence. The incident prompted CSU authorities to issue a crime alert.

Shots Fired

Cleveland State Police officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of East 21st Street and Euclid Avenue at 12:27 a.m. on Dec. 22. When CSU police arrived at the scene, Cleveland Police officers informed them of a non-CSU affiliate being robbed at gun point. The suspect hit the victim in the face with a pistol. As the suspect was fleeing the scene after the robbery, he turned and fired one shot from the pistol. No one was shot during the armed robbery. The incident prompted CSU authorities to issue a crime alert.
