Letter from the Editor-in-Chief
February 3, 2011
As the Spring 2011 semester gets into full swing, I hope this is only the beginning of a year full of learning and growth for the students, faculty, staff and administrators of Cleveland State.
My name is Leona and I have the privilege to serve as the editor-in-chief for this semester.
This is my final undergraduate semester at CSU, but I hope to continue my graduate coursework here in Fall 2011.
The Stater will closely follow the impact of the changes that our state government will have on the students and CSU as a whole with a series of articles outlining the changes as they occur.
In addition, we are introducing a new 7-week series, “History at Your Doorstep,” which will showcase historical landmarks in Cleveland and near suburbs.
In keeping with new media and convergence in journalism, look for story updates on The Stater Web site during non-print weeks and links to reporter’s blogs for further discussion on print and online stories.
I only hope I can do half as well as my predecessors, Daniel Wolf and Vince Fratiani, who have built a strong foundation for me to build on.
The staff and I look forward to providing you with news, sports and entertainment during the upcoming semester.
Leona Y. Johnson
