Stater was founded in 1999.

Cleveland Stater, which is a tabloid, is published twice a month.

Stater is a laboratory newspaper produced by students enrolled in classes
in the School of Communication at CSU.

Stater offers students the opportunity to improve newsgathering, editing
and management skills while experiencing a fully operational newspaper.

Stater provides an opportunity for local businesses to advertise to
the 16,000 students who attend CSU and the 3,000 staff members.

Stater is recognized by The Student Government Association for Excellence
in News Journalism 2001-2002.

Most of the students
who write for The Cleveland Stater are journalism majors, which in turn
means you are getting hard hitting news, in-depth community coverage,
and current events happening in and around the campus from students who
are serious about the news they write.
