Man Arrested
The Cleveland State University Police arrested a man near Main Classroom on Sunday, Oct. 3 at 4 p.m.
Wayne Dowdell, a frequent visitor to campus, was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant by officers from the CSU police department.
A patrolling officer first noticed Dowdell walking around the Main Classroom building on a day that campus was closed.
He was spotted again later walking near the Chester building. The officer radioed in and was informed of the warrant at which time Dowdell was taken into custody.
He was then booked and transported to the county facility.
This was not the first encounter Dowdell has had with Cleveland State Univerisity police. He has had two prior arrests by CSU police and has been stopped by the department several times in various campus buildings.
Harassment
CSU police received a call on Thursday, Oct. 7 from Viking Hall from a man who complained of being harrassed by another student.
Car Break-in
CSU police took a call on Tuesday, Oct. 5 that reported a car being broken into on East 22nd street near Viking Hall.
Hexed by his ex
A CSU student called police on Tuesday, Oct. 5 to report that he was being harrassed by his ex-girlfriend.
Cavorting in the Convo
CSU police received a report of a man who had entered the Convocation Center Annex illegally. The man checked out clean. He was warned and sent on his way.
Bad Backing
CSU police responded to a report of a vehicle accident in lot A. Only a minor fender bender, one car backed into another.
