Alumni Association plans events By Joanna Sipols The CSU Alumni Association has several events scheduled for fall semester 1999. The first event is the sixth annual Alumni & Friends Golf Classic at Quail Hollow Country Club in Concord on September 27. Prizes such as a car or a vacation will be awarded to the best golfers. The association advises those who wish to participate to reserve tickets as soon as possible because the event is almost always a sell-out. Tickets cost $110, and the price includes an afternoon of golf, lunch and dinner. There will also be a raffle and a silent auction For another $50, avid golfers can start in the morning. The event is open to everyone, not just members of the alumni association. The registration deadline for this event is August 27. Call 216-687-5481 for reservations or to sign up as a tee sponsor. On Sunday, Oct. 3, the Alumni Association will attend the final home game of the Cleveland Indians against the Toronto Blue Jays at Jacobs Field. The game starts at 1:05 p.m. and tickets are offered at only $20 through the association. Call 216-687-2078 to obtain your tickets.
