Professional Experience & Community Activities
Anup Kumar teaches media writing, lab newspapers, media ethics & law, and political communication. He joined Cleveland State University in 2008. He has about 10 years of professional experience in journalism as a reporter, copy editor and editor. He is currently working on a book on the influence of news media on social and political movement.
Dr. Kumar is also adviser for The Cleveland Stater, laboratory newspaper produced by students of School of Communication, and the CSU Chapter of Society of Professional (SPJ).
Education
Ph.D. in Mass Communication from University of Iowa, Iowa CityM.A. in Communication Studies from University of Northern Iowa.
