Reaching Out to Include
A Social Justice Training Workshop
Led by Ama Codjoe
Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Cleveland State University, Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs, Room 241, 1717 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44115
In this special workshop, Ama Codjoe, National Guild Community Arts Education Leadership Institute (CAELI) faculty, will guide our investigation of the way our roles as arts leaders intersect with issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
We’ll reflect and connect with one another as Ama helps us practice “Interrupting Injustice” through role-play, and develop action plans that can be adapted to carry the work forward in our organizations. Pre-workshop reading materials will be made available.
Everyone is welcome, including those for whom this is first time. Ama’s workshop is designed to meet us where we’re at whether we know a little or a lot about social justice—and provide strategies to build equity in ways that can make a real difference for our work and the communities we serve.
