Roots of American Music (ROAM) is dedicated to ensuring that today’s young people and our communities remain connected to the history and spirit of our country. Through preservation, performance and education about traditional American music, we respect our nation’s diverse heritage and build bridges of understanding between different generations, races and ethnic groups.  In 2007, ROAM was recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts through its Challenge America program for its contributions to cultural life in Ohio.
