There is no cultural arts program in Greater Cleveland like Near West Theatre (NWT).  Based in the Ohio City neighborhood, it has a unique identity as a grassroots, intergenerational theatre with an emphasis on serving youth.  Through the theatre arts, NWT delivers an inclusive, self-esteem building process that results in high-quality theatre productions and programming that help build Cleveland's Near West Side and surrounding neighborhoods while educating and raising awareness around issues of social justice, discrimination, and stigma, providing people of all ages with the ability to nurture their sense of identity and strengthen their purpose as individuals and as a community.
