Building Successful Collaborations
Sharing Resources • Doing Work Together
Turn your vision of shared community arts work into highly successful collaborations. In this two-part session you’ll learn about innovative thinking to bring projects and participants together and making strong business decisions that will protect your organizations.
I. Building strong business
relationships
With Todd Masuda, attorney with Schneider, Smeltz, Ranney & LaFond, and Vice-Chair of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association's Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. Todd advises businesses on partnerships and collaborations. Once a visual artist, he is active with Volunteers Lawyers for the Arts and served on the board of Zygote Press.
II. Developing innovative, ground-breaking collaborations
With Greg Peckham, Managing Director of LAND studio, a new organization created from the successful merger of ParkWorks and Cleveland Public Art. Greg is a member of the Ohio City Design Review committee and is on the board of Community Partners for Arts and Culture.

Using Excel in Evaluations
Learn the secrets of using Excel to analyze and report evaluation findings with Ashley Philliber, Evaluation Coordinator with Philliber Research Associates.
Ashley has an advanced skill set in Excel, Access, and SPSS and has used each of these to create and maintain databases for both for profit and nonprofit organizations. She revealed those skills during CAEC’s September 2011 Evaluation PD and is coming back to share Excel insights. With 15 years of experience, Ashley has taught courses on evaluation internationally and has been the Evaluation Coordinator for several national projects in youth development, school achievement, journalism, community development, and other areas of human service delivery.
