The Black Studies Ambassadors motivate students to succeed by appreciating their diversity and presenting them as role models to the larger community.

The Curtis Wilson Colloquium Series provides a platform for local and area scholars to present lectures on various topics in the field of Black Studies. This lecture series tributes the legacy of the late Curtis Wilson, former director of the Black Studies Program, who wedded an appreciation for culture and scholarship.

Bridges to Africa Panel Discussions highlight the Black Studies discourse on a global level. These panels provide a platform for a very diverse representation of African Americans, Africans, and Africans in the Diaspora to enlighten the campus and Greater Cleveland communities about a variety of issues around the world that involve African descendants.

Kuumba Arts Programs promotes an awareness and appreciation of the Black Aesthetic by employing the talents of both visual and performing artists to celebrate the variety of art forms ranging from classical to contemporary and even Hip Hop.

The Dr. Mims Lecture, Arts and Media Series presents national and international speakers and artists to the Cleveland State University and Greater Cleveland communities.
