Exploration of Horticultural Enterprise Models for Economically Disadvantaged
Communities” by Melvin Hendrix in conjunction with the College
of Urban Affairs

Melvin Hendrix is founder and president
of PermaCycleÔ, a soils management and environmental solutions
provider. Mr. Hendrix was trained at Stanford University in history
and international area studies, and has worked as a university
professor and Area Studies Administrator in U.S. colleges and
universities, as well as overseas. He is the architect of the
Horticulture Enterprise Zone Model, an environmental horticulture
model based on permaculture principles that is designed to promote
environmental sustainability, food security, and sustainable livelihoods. |
