The Lecture, Arts and Media Series is a scholarly program that features international, national, and local scholars, professionals, and performing and visual artists. The Kuumba Arts Festival, Madame C. J. Walker Extravaganza, the Truth Crush to Earth Solidarity Day are examples of the annual programs presented in the series.

The Curtis Wilson Colloquium Series is an academic initiative that promotes scholarship in the area of Black Studies.
