About the film:
This documentary was created at the Movement for Black Lives Convening that took place in July, 2015. Film director SorayaSoi Free takes us through the many daily issues surrounding our black lives. This film captured the activities of the 1200 attendees. These attendees flew from all over the world to create a safe haven to express themselves in a safe atmosphere.This is a must see film. This film will bring you pain. This film will bring you joy, laughter and pain but best of all this film will make you love yourself even more for being unapologetically black.

The Black Studies Program seeks to carry out its mission through the following six instruments:

ACADEMIC PROGRAM: Major/Minor in Black Studies

This interdisciplinary academic program consists of approximately 89 Black Studies courses offered by 20 different departments which are housed in four different colleges of the University. Students can earn an interdisciplinary major or minor in Black Studies.
