Sonya Charles, Ph.D., joined the Philosophy Department in 2007. She teaches and publishes in the areas of feminism and reproductive ethics. Her article, "The Ethics of Vaginal Birth After Cesarean" was recently published in the premier bioethics journal, The Hastings Center Report,42, no. 4 (2012) 24-27.
Allyson L. Robichaud, Ph.D., is the Director of the Bioethics Program. She has published in the area of medicine and emotion. Professor Robichaud is the recent past-President of the Bioethics Network of Ohio and has served as a community member of the University Hospital Ethics Committee since 2004.
Karen Haely, Ph.D., has expertise in bioethics, epistemology, and philosophy of science. Her dissertation Objectivity in the Feminist Philosophy of Science was published in 2008. Professor Haely has been teaching in the Bioethics Program since 2013.
Toni Nicolette, Ph.D., has expertise in ethics, bioethics and practical reasoning and has publications in bioethics. She is interested in the role emotion plays in decision-making. Professor Nicoletti has been teaching in the Bioethics Program since 2008.
