Advising for students in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences is a multi-part process. First time freshmen are advised in the First Year Advising Center. Students then transition to their home general education advising office during their sophomore year. Students with a CLASS major will also have a faculty advisor located in the department which houses the declared major. Students should meet regularly with their advisors to ensure timely progression toward graduation. Students in the Honors/Scholars, Athletics and TRiO programs will be advised in those program offices.
The Center recommends that you make a scheduled appointment to ensure adequate time for advising. If you choose to visit us during our limited walk in times, you may have to wait and/or be asked to schedule an appointment if your situation requires more time.
Hours of Operation:
Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Daily walk in advising is available during these hours only:
NOTE: On December 2, 2013 these hours are null and void as the Center will go to an ALL WALK-IN status and continue until January 24. Make sure to check this page after January 24 as the Center will post NEW DAILY WALK IN TIMES FOR SPRING 2014 semester.
