Petitions
Petitions are submitted when you want to request a waiver or exception from a program, CEHS, College of Graduate Studies or University requirement.
All petitions should be submitted to the Advising Office. There are three types of petitions for undergraduates and post-baccalaureates:
CEHS Petition
Graduate College Petition
University Petition
CEHS Petitions submitted by the second Thursday of each month will usually be considered by the end of the month. Petitioners will be notified of petition decisions by letter. Graduate College and University Petitions are reviewed monthly during fall and spring semesters.

Change a grade for a College course that has gone from an Incomplete, NA, or X to an F (for courses in other college, use petition form for that college) |
CEHS PETITION (must also include a CHANGE OF GRADE form signed by course instructor, department chair, and associate dean of college) |

Extend an Incomplete deadline in a College course after the deadline has passed (before the deadline, a memo from the instructor to the Registrar will be acceptable) (for courses in other college, use petition form for that college) |

Late Withdrawal from a course after 9th week of term |

Take Community College course as Transient Student after achieving Junior status or above |

Waive a course required in your program |

Waive College of Education Requirement |

Waive University Residency Requirement that final 30 hours in degree program must be taken at CSU |

Extend 6 year Statute of Limitation for Completing Master's program |
CEHS PETITION (must also include Course Relevancy form for each course beyond 6-yr. limit; in addition, Graduate Credit Transfer form must be completed if courses beyond limit are from another institution) |
